Is Randy Moss Coming Out of Retirement? Future Hall of Famer Says “You Never Know” (Video)
Is future Hall of Famer Randy Moss coming out of retirement? Based on an interview he did on national television on Sunday night, it sure sounds like he wants to.
Before Sunday night’s thrilling Rams-Titans preseason game on Fox, just hours after Green Bay’s Jordy Nelson became the latest high-profile star to lose an entire season to a preseason injury, Fox’s Curt Menefee asked Moss if the rumors about him making a comeback were true. And Moss said he’s definitely open to the possibility.
“I actually have not lost the itch,” Moss explained. “I’ve been working out with a few guys over the offseason. I have been retired for the last two years, but you never know, Curt. But it’s the love of the game that I still have inside of me.”
Moss then reiterated his position after Menefee asked a half-joking question about whether Moss was actually committed to being a member of the Fox football broadcasting team.
“Hey, I don’t know. The sky’s the limit for me, Curt. So we’ll just have to wait and see.”

Unfortunately, the sky is probably not the limit for Randy Moss. Though he most certainly was one of the greatest wide receivers to ever play the game, it seems highly unlikely that any team is going to want a 38-year-old wide receiver who hasn’t played football in almost three years and hasn’t recorded a 500-yard season (let alone a 1000-yard season) since 2009.
But hey, let the guy dream.
