John Daly Sings “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” Three Days After Suffering Collapsed Lung (Video)
On Saturday, everybody’s favorite hard-livin’ pro golfer John Daly was hospitalized with a collapsed young—which sounds kind of serious, seeing as how you use your lungs to breathe, and they’re not really supposed to collapse.
However, on Sunday morning, Daly was right back out on the course. And on Tuesday night, he was belting out “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” with Hootie and the Blowfish (minus Hootie) at some PGA event in Myrtle Beach.
Of course, Daly has been moonlighting as a country music singer for years, and this was not the first time he’s performed that Bob Dylan classic. In fact, John Daly sings the song all the time.
However, given his recent medical scare, the lyrics have never rung so true.
Fortunately, the Golf Channel’s Win McMurray was there to capture the moment on Instagram. Take a look:
I don’t think I would call that an “impromptu” performance, but it was fun.
Clearly Daly’s collapsed lung is doing just fine.
