Marshall Safety Records 17 Tackles, 2 Pick-Sixes During Game vs Purdue (Videos)
How do you go from being a little-known college safety on the Marshall Thundering Herd, to being the talk of NCAA football just one week into the season?
You record 17 tackles and two(!) pick-sixes during your team’s home-opener. That’s exactly what Marshall safety Tiquan Lang did on Saturday during the Herd’s 41-31 victory over Purdue.
Lang’s first pick-six came on the game’s very first play from scrimmage:
Over the course of the next 58 minutes, Tiquan Lang compiled a ridiculous 17 tackles. And then, with less than two minutes remaining and Marshall leading by three, the junior safety sealed the victory with his second pick-six against the Boilermakers:
