Jarryd Hayne Under Armour Deal Finalized Before He Even Plays a Game (Video)
The San Francisco 49es took a chance on Australian rugby player Jarryd Hayne back in March, signing him to a three-year contract with about $100,000 guaranteed.
All Hayne did in return was become the story of the 2015 NFL preseason, blowing everyone away with his electrifying raw talent and leaving the San Francisco 49ers with no choice but to put him on their 53-man roster.
Now Under Armour is following the Niners’ lead by taking a chance on Jarryd Hayne, adding the 27-year-old rugby player-turned-NFL star to their stable of stars that includes superstars like Steph Curry, Tom Brady, and Jordan Spieth.

At this point we don’t know what the Jarryd Hayne Under Armour deal is worth. But chances are it’s way more than you will make over the next decade.
What we do know is that the deal has been in the works for a couple of months, with UA probably waiting to see if Hayne made the roster before finalizing.
“It’s great to get the deal done, and to be with a company that’s all about the underdogs,” Hayne told Australian morning show Today. “That’s something that I’ve loved.”
Here’s hoping that Hayne’s amazing play in August carries over into September. The NFL could really use a feel-good story right about now.
