Big Ben Using Cell Phone on the Sideline During Ravens-Steelers Game? (Video)
Well, well, well. Just a few week after Ben Roethlisberger added some fuel to the discussion surrounding the Patriots’ knack for breaking the rules, it appears as though the Pittsburgh Steelers’ injured quarterback may have been doing some cheating of his own on the sidelines during Thursday night’s Ravens-Steelers match-up.
Check out the video below. Is Big Ben using his cell phone?
It sure looks like a cell phone. Although, it also looks like it could be a black wristband with the plays on it, which is what the Steelers have since claimed.
If the NFL were to determine that it really was a cell phone (which I highly doubt), Roethlisberger and the Steelers could be in some serious trouble. For those who don’t remember, Cleveland Browns GM Ray Farmer was suspended for the first four games of this season and the team was fined $250,000 when it was discovered that he had been sending text messages to members of the coaching staff during games. And even the Steelers’ own Troy Polamalu was fined $10,000 for using his cell phone during a game back in 2011, although that fine was later overturned when Polamalu explained that he had only been texting his wife, telling her he was okay following an injury.
