NFL Fines Steelers’ Cameron Heyward For Honoring His Late Father With Eye Black

Don’t hate Roger Goodell and the NFL enough already?  This should help you take your distaste for the league and it’s top officials to a whole new level.

Earlier today, Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end Cameron Heyward took to Twitter to announce that he had been fined for honoring his late father, Craig “Ironhead” Heyward, during Monday night’s contest against the San Diego Chargers:

Craig Heyward lost his battle with cancer back in May 2006. When asked whether or not he expected to hear from the league about his eye black after Wednesday’s practice, Cameron Heyward said, “To lose a person like that due to cancer, for cancer awareness, I don’t think it should be a big deal at all.”

Well Cameron, you were wrong.  Roger Goodell loves to make a big deal out of little things like this, while sweeping larger issues like domestic violence under the rug.
