Michigan Fan Has Heart Attack After Watching the End of the Michigan-Michigan State Game
If you follow college football at all, then by now you have surely heard how Michigan lost to Michigan State on Saturday thanks to a botched punt fumble return with 10 seconds left in the game. You’ve probably even heard internet folks like me call it a “heartbreaking” loss.
What you probably did not realize, however, was that this is not just hyperbole. The loss literally broke one unlucky Wolverines fan’s heart.
According to University of Michigan public information officer Diane Brown, someone attending the game in person at the Big House on Saturday suffered an honest-to-goodness heart attack after Big Blue’s stupefying loss.
“We did have one heart attack at the end of the game in the stadium,” Brown said in a statement. “Emergency medical personnel got to that person right away and were able to take that person to the University of Michigan emergency department for further treatment.”
At this point we do not know the identity of the heart attack victim. But we do know what you are thinking, and no, it was not Jim Harbaugh. Though yes, that was a pretty good guess.
Let’s hope that whoever this Michigan fan is, he or she is able to make a full recovery.
