Justise Winslow Posterizes Three Hornets In NBA Debut, Reminding Michael Jordan That He Made A Huge Mistake (Video)
I’m not going to tell Michael Jordan how to run his basketball team. But there are lots of other people who will, and pretty much all of them thought he was certifiably insane to draft Wisconsin star Frank Kaminsky over Duke’s Justise Winslow with the no. 9 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. Especially after the Boston Celtics offered the Hornets a package of six first round picks over several years so they could take Winslow.
However, the Hornets stuck to their guns (well, to Jordan’s guns) and drafted Frank the Tank. So the Miami Heat took Winslow at no. 10, which experts agreed was a steal.
So how is all this working out for everybody? We’re only one game into the season, but the Heat hosted the Hornets in Miami last night, and Winslow sure seemed hell-bent on making the Hornets regret their decision. The 19-year-old only played 26 minutes off the bench on Wednesday, but in a span of 30 seconds he managed to drain a three and posterize three Hornets players with a ridiculous monster jam.
Take a look:
That’s one hell of a professional debut. Especially compared to Kaminsky, who played just six minutes and recorded zero points.
Message received, Justise.
