Sure, it’s been nearing two decades since Stone Cold Steve Austin was a relevant name in the world of wrestling or in any other world, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t still some good synergies for the former WWE star. He really liked beer. Coors Light, specifically. And now he’s got his own brew.
It’s called Broken Skull IPA, and I’m as surprised as you are that he’d put his name behind a hoppy craft-y IPA. But, as people get older, they become bigger p*ssies, so I guess it’s to be expected.

Here’s a description from their press release (because I’m really not inclined to try to describe the taste of their beer, which I’ve never had):
WWE Hall of Famer, Steve Austin, and El Segundo Brewing Company, one of LA’s premier craft breweries, have teamed up to create what Austin describes as “one bad ass beer”. Known around the world for his intense in-ring style, trash talking, and beer swilling antics, Austin has embraced the craft beer world with a hands on approach.
The resulting recipe, churned out by [ESBC founder Rob Croxall], created a beer that boasts a big mid palate flavor from ample use of Cascade, Chinook, and Citra hops. The finish is wonderful with hops fading quickly and a polite bitterness that trails off easily. This is the ultimate IPA designed for the working man and woman who love great beer. The work is done. Time to enjoy a cold one.
Eh, they could have played up the WWE angle more. I’m not looking for another IPA. I’m looking for Stone Cold Steve Austin to drop kick flavor in my mouth.
