Ronda Rousey Endorses Bernie Sanders For President
Did you wake up today thinking, “Gee, I wonder who Ronda Rousey is voting for in the 2016 Presidential primary?” Because if you did, you’ll be happy to hear we’ve got an answer for you.
The UFC women’s champ did an interview with Maxim ahead of her fight against Holly Holm at this weekend’s UFC 193. And in that interview, when the subject of politics came up, Rousey happily announced that she is voting for Bernie Sanders.
“I’m voting for Bernie Sanders, because he doesn’t take any corporate money,” she said. “I don’t think politicians should be allowed to take money for their campaigns from outside interests.”
Of course, as you might know, Bernie Sanders is way behind Hilary Clinton at this point and probably won’t win the Democratic nomination. So who will Rousey vote for if it’s Hilary vs. Some Republican?
“I’ll probably vote for a third party again,” she explains. “To be honest, in 2012 I was against both candidates and so I just picked any third party because I thought if more people voted for third parties then they’d have to take third parties seriously.”
What third party candidate did Rousey vote for in 2012? Rosanne Barr. She was the candidate of the Peace and Freedom Party.
Come to think of it, maybe Bernie Sanders doesn’t want Rousey’s endorsement.
