DeMarco Murray Was Calling Out Cowboys’ Plays on Final Drive (Video)

DeMarco Murray calls Cowboys Plays

DeMarco Murray may no longer be a member of the Dallas Cowboys, but he still seems to know their offensive playbook quite well.

Late in the fourth quarter of Sunday night’s game between the Eagles and Cowboys, with the Cowboys offense on the field and their team trailing by three, DeMarco Murray was spotted on the sideline yelling at Eagles cornerback Nolan Carroll to anticipate a hitch route from Dez Bryant.

Check it out:

Wouldn’t you know it, he was right. Dez ran a hitch route, Carroll was able to cover it, and Cowboys quarterback Matt Cassel was forced to check down to running back Darren McFadden for a short gain that brought up 4th and 5. The Cowboys would go on to convert that fourth down, and they eventually kicked the game-tying field-goal later on in the drive with just a few seconds remaining in regulation.  But in the end, Murray would get the season-split against his former team thanks to a 41-yard Jordan Matthews touchdown reception on the Eagles’ opening drive of overtime.
