Kyrie Irving’s Uncle Drew Returns to Play HORSE with Ray Allen (Video)
While sports commercials certainly aren’t what they once were, that doesn’t mean that we don’t get a gem every once in a while.
Kyrie Irving‘s geriatric alter ego Uncle Drew was one such gem. He was gone for a while as Kyrie focused on more pressing matters, like a title chase and rehabbing his injury, but now he’s back, and he’s faced with the formidable task of knocking off retired sharpshooter Ray Allen in a game of HORSE.
Take a look:
Of course, these pranks become victims of their own success, as the gig is up when the audience starts applauding an old man interrupting a pickup game, then get handed Pepsi bottles by a half-dozen marketing interns. Maybe take Uncle Drew to Europe and just have him hustle people for cash.
Regardless, it’s still pretty funny.
