NESN Reporter Has a Rather Embarrassing Slip of the Tongue While Discussing Dennis Seidenberg’s Herniated Disc (Video)
When you’re a sports reporter, there are certain names, words, and phrases you just don’t look forward to saying on live television because you know a slight slip of the tongue could make you say something very inappropriate.
Take the word success, for example. It may seem pretty simple and straightforward, but apparently the neurons in your brain responsible for producing this word are prone to misfiring. Because on more than one occasion, a sports reporter has tried to say “tremendous amounts of success” and instead come up with “tremendous amounts of sex.”
Another tricky one? The old herniated disc, which sometimes gets turned into…well, why don’t we just let NESN reporter Sarah Davis take this one. She was doing a report on the Boston Bruins’ Dennis Seidenberg during Thursday night’s game against the Avalanche when a slight slip of the tongue made things really awkward:
Yep, that’s right. A herniated dick.
Of course, that wasn’t the first time a reporter had made the old dick-for-disc slip-up:
Don’t worry, Ms. Davis. It happens to the best of them.
