This Filthy Evgeni Malkin Goal Is The Best Of The NHL Season So Far (Video)
With a record of 11-7, you can’t really say the Pittsburgh Penguins are struggling. The Ducks, or the Flames? They’re struggling. The Penguins are fifth in the Eastern conference.
That said, after acquiring Phil Kessel from the Maple Leafs in the offseason to go along with Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin, the last thing you expected was for the Penguins to rank near the bottom of the league in scoring. But they do. Only the Hurricanes, Flyers, and Ducks have scored fewer goals than the Penguins.
The good news for Penguins fans? Judging by the absolutely filthy goal Evgeni Malkin scored against the Wild on Tuesday night, he might be starting to heat up. After Kessel brings the puck into the offensive zone, he puts on the breaks and dished to Malkin, who skates past the puck, pulls it between his legs and around the defender, then walks in and fires it past Devan Dubnyk.

That was hands down the best goal of the 2015-16 NHL season so far. If Malkin can start working that kind of magic on a regular basis, the Penguins could get pretty scary.
