Why Was Floyd Mayweather Sitting Courtside at an NBA D-League Game? (Tweets)
It’s not unusual to see Floyd Mayweather at most any sporting event, sitting courtside or on the sidelines. But it was a little weird last night to learn that he was front and center for a Westchester Knicks game against Grand Rapids in the NBA’s D-league.
However, an ESPN NY reporter was there to make SOME sense out of the wealthy boxer’s appearance:
Floyd Mayweather is in the building tonight for the Knicks’ D League game against the Grand Rapids Drive. Yes, I’m as surprised as you are.

Apparently Floyd Mayweather is buddies w/Westchester’s Jordon Crawford. He’s sitting courtside w/the largest entourage in D League history. — Ian Begley (@IanBegley) December 1, 2015
So maybe it was his buddy Jordon Crawford that got him out to the New York suburbs. Or maybe it’s because Mayweather learned the D-league team just signed Jimmer Fredette. The possibilities are endless when you think about it.
