Tom Brady Catches 36-Yard Pass From Danny Amendola (Video)
Desperate times call for desperate measures.
Trailing by 14 points on a 3rd & 3 play late in the third quarter during their game against the Philadelphia Eagles, the New England Patriots were just about as desperate as they’ve been all season. So they took some very desperate measures by reaching deep into their playbook to call this trick play:
That little bit of role reversal resulted in a 36-yard pass from Danny Amendola to Tom Brady.
Sadly, it was all for naught, as Brady threw an interception on the very next play and the Patriots went on to lose the game by a score of 35-28.
Maybe Bill Belichick should have considered giving Amendola a few more snaps under center down the stretch.
