Nick Young Ejected For Giving Anthony Tolliver a Forearm to the Throat (Video)
Losing sucks. If you do it a lot, after a while it’ll start to take a psychological toll. Just ask Lakers forward Nick Young. His team loses almost every game, and on Sunday night, during an embarrassing blowout at the hands of the Pistons, he let his frustrations get the better of him.
With nine minutes left in the game and Detroit up by 29, the Lakers actually got a defensive rebound and hit old Swaggy P with an outlet pass for a fast break. However, Pistons forward Anthony Tolliver turned on the jets to intercept Young at the basket, where he fouled him as he was going for the dunk.
It wasn’t a hard foul by any means. Just enough to prevent the Lakers from scoring a freebie. However, at that point Mr. Iggy Azalea decided he’d had enough. So he got up off the floor and shoved Tolliver…in the throat.
Take a look:
Needless to say, that got Nick Young ejected.
After the game, even Lakers coach Byron Scott admitted Young overreacted.
“Tolliver didn’t really go after him,” Scott said. “I just thought he went up and tried to contest his shot. He wasn’t going to give him a layup. … I thought he probably overreacted a little bit.”
Young blamed his outburst on the suckitude of being 3-17.
“It’s tough,” he said. “There’s a lot of frustration. It’s a struggle and it’s building up.”
