DeMarcus Cousins Surprises a Needy Family with a Car (Video)
Maybe it’s the holiday spirit. Maybe it’s the fact that basketball players make billions of dollars per year. Or maybe the rise of social media compels athletes to do nice stuff for strangers. Whatever it is, seeing players reach out to needy families with nice gestures is a trend we can all get behind.
This time around, it’s DeMarcus Cousins who ponied up to give a car to a needy family.

Judging by this tweet, he may have had a little help from the good folks at Chase Chevrolet, so let’s give them a shout out, too.
The story of the recipients is a little convoluted, but it sounds like the parents, Maurice and Selena, are raising their three-year-old daughter as well as Selena’s younger twin sisters, who were abandoned twice, first by their biological mom and then by family friends.
Let’s hope that this gift helps make life a little easier for their family this Christmas.
