David Johnson Goes Full “Beast Mode” On Eagles Defense (Video)

In Seattle, they like to refer to rookie running back Thomas Rawls as “Beast Mode 2.0.”  It’s not an unreasonable comparison, seeing as how Rawls is expected to be Marshawn Lynch‘s replacement in the Seahawks backfield and he has already proven he’s capable of effectively carrying the load when called upon this season.

However, when it comes to earning the label as “the next Beast Mode,” there may be another rookie runner from another NFC West team who has proven to be even more worthy of such accolades.  We’re talking about David Johnson, who totaled 229 yards and three touchdowns during a 40-17 victory over the Eagles on Sunday.

Johnson has the size (6’1″, 224 lbs) and speed to make Lynch-like runs, and he showed it on this 47-yard scamper to put the Cardinals up by seven in the second quarter:
