Eagles Fan Shoots 3 People, 1 Fatally, After Eagles Loss to Cardinals (Vid)
That ugly side of football fandom has reared its ugly head once again. Seems like it’s really bad with NFC East fans this year. A Cowboys fan and now an Eagles fan have killed somebody over a game this year.
Per NBC Philadelphia:
A shooting in Philadelphia following the Eagles’ loss on “Sunday Night Football” left one man in his 50s dead and two other men in their 50s hospitalized early Monday.
Gunshots rang out just after midnight in a one-car garage along the 8300 block of Gilbert Street in the city’s Cedarbrook section following the Eagles’ 40-17 loss to the Cardinals. The men had been watching the game together in a garage, according to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small.
“After the football game, at some time around midnight, for some reason, a 51-year-old man pulled out a gun and started firing shots at the three people he was with watching the football game that were sitting on the couch,” said Small.
Authorities said a 51-year-old man who lived at the house was shot in the chest. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.
