Report: 3 Clemson Players Suspended For Failing Drug Tests
All year, everybody has been waiting for that “Clemson-ing” moment when they lose or something bad happens as usual. Well, it just happened. A couple players on the team chose weed over team priorities and were suspended for it.
“As first reported by ESPN Upstate’s Price Atkinson, Cain, Lakip and McCullough were sent home from South Florida for a violation of team rules. According to TheClemsonInsider.com, the three players were each sent home due to failed drug tests.
A team spokesman from Clemson said coach Dabo Swinney will address the report Wednesday morning.
Cain ranks second on the Tigers in receiving yards (582), averaging 17.1 yards per catch, and had a run of five-straight games with a touchdown this season.”
Can confirm @PriceAtkinson report: Clemson WR Deon Cain, TE Jay Jay McCullough & K Ammon Lakip sent home from Orange Bowl. Failed drug test.
