Steph Curry Made Some Hilarious Burger King Commercials with His Dad When He Was a Kid (Videos)
In case you haven’t noticed, Steph Curry is really good at basketball. And a lot of his success has to do with drive, determination hard work, sacrifice, and all the other stuff people always talk about. However, a lot of it was also just really good genes. After all, Steph Curry’s dad, Dell Curry, was a successful NBA guard who became a fan-favorite in Charlotte over the course of his 10 seasons playing for the Hornets.
Fittingly enough, the question of how one becomes “great” at basketball just so happens to be the subject of a series of old Burger King commercials from the mid-90s starring none other than “Dell Curry & Son.” But of course, in the commercials, all the talk about being hungry and wanting it just leads to a trip to BK for a couple of Whoppers.
(Note to aspiring basketball players: nobody ever got great by eating at Burger King.)
The Golden State Warriors somehow dug up the old commercials and played them on the jumbotron during Monday night’s game against Dell’s Hornets. Take a look:

I guess Under Armour was not Steph Curry’s first major sponsor after all.
