Steph Curry Double Behind-the-Back Pass Had Heat Announcers Comparing Him to Pete Maravich (Video)
The Golden State Warriors hosted the Miami Heat in Oakland on Monday night. We’re not going to tell you who won, because you should already have a priori knowledge of the outcome. But we are going to tell you about the highlight of the game, which just so happens to be a non-assist.
What the hell is a non-assist? It’s an assist that’s not actually an assist because the player who received it did not actually make the basket.
In this case, the non-assist was a Steph Curry double behind-the-back pass to Draymond Green. And it left the Miami Heat announcers gushing about Golden State’s resident basketball wizard.
Take a look:
Seriously, any time you have the opposing team’s announcers comparing you to one of the greatest NBA players of all time—in this case the late Pistol Pete Maravich—you’re doing something right.
Hell, even the Heat players were mesmerized. They all just stopped in their tracks to see what Curry would do.
What a time to be a basketball fan.
