Vince Young Arrested for DWI in Texas Sunday Night
Former University of Texas quarterback Vince Young was arrested in Austin, Texas on Sunday night after police pulled him over when they suspected he was driving while intoxicated.
According to police reports, Young was driving erratically along the Interstate 35 service road. Upon taking nearly 10 seconds to respond to a green light, officers followed his pickup truck and noticed he was swerving within his lane. After pulling the 2006 third-overall pick over to the side of the road, police smelled a strong scent of alcohol and performed the “walk & turn” sobriety test, which he failed. It is said that Young was slurring his speech and his eyes were glassy. Despite being polite to the officers, it is also stated that Young was uncooperative, refusing to give a breath or blood sample, or take any other sobriety tests.
Young was arrested at 11:16 pm Sunday night, and he was checked into Travis County Jail at approximately 12:46 am on Monday. His bail was set at $2,000 and he was released from jail at around 10:00 am this Morning.
