Michael Oher Celebrated the Panthers’ Super Bowl Berth With His “Blind Side” Family (Pic)
Carolina Panthers offensive tackle Michael Oher has gone on record as saying he’s not a fan of The Blind Side. The 2009 movie stars Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw and tells the uplifting, mostly true story of his troubled Memphis upbringing and adoption by Leigh Ann and Sean Tuohy. However, Oher says people judge him and his abilities based on the movie rather than taking the time to get to know him in real life. And you can certainly see how that would be frustrating.
However, while Oher may not be crazy about the movie, it is clear he is still very close to the Tuohys. Back on January 4 he posted a picture of himself with his adoptive parents on Instagram along with the hashtag #fam.
On Sunday, the Tuohys were at Bank of America Stadium to watch the Panthers pound the Arizona Cardinals and secure a berth in Super Bowl 50. And after the game, they were down on the field celebrating with Michael Oher:
Now, some people aren’t terribly fond of Leigh Anne Tuohy because they think she uses social media to make herself look like a hero. And the camera person standing behind Tuohy certainly seems a bit skeptical of this photo opp.
However, the moment was apparently pretty special for Oher, because he posted the photo on his Instagram as well…with the guy in the background cropped out:
So I guess sometimes there really are Hollywood endings.
