Von Miller Offers Advice to Johnny Manziel After Super Bowl Win
Two and a half years ago, prior to the 2013 NFL season, Von Miller‘s NFL career was seemingly headed down the wrong path, as the Broncos linebacker was involved in some legal issues after failing to appear in court for driving-related charges. He was also suspended for the first six games of the season for attempting to cheat a drug test, and just two months after he returned to the field, Miller torn his ACL and missed the remainder of the season–which included a trip to Super Bowl XLVIII, where the Broncos lost to the Seahawks.
All of this could have had a negative effect on the rest of Miller’s career. The 2011 second-overall pick could have simply crumbled under the adversity and turned into a bust.
But he didn’t.
Rather, he fought back from his injury, overcame his other off-field issues, and recorded an impressive 14 sacks in 2014.
In 2015, things got even better for Miller, as his 11 sacks helped the Broncos finish atop the AFC standings. And his 2.5 sacks and 2 forced fumbles on Sunday helped him earn Super Bowl MVP honors and a championship ring.
It was all made possible because Miller never stopped grinding. And last night, following Denver’s 24-10 victory, he took to Instagram to remind fellow Texas A&M Aggie, Johnny Manziel, that he too can bounce back if he gets his head right:
Johnny must have been feeling the love, because he responded with this post:

If you’re expecting to see Manziel have a Von Miller-like career revival, don’t hold your breath.
