Dolphins WR Greg Jennings: “Ryan Tannehill is FAR From Elite” (Video)
One thing everyone can respect out of another person is complete honesty especially in sports where cliches run rampant. Miami Dolphins WR Greg Jennings delivered that honesty when speaking candidly about his current QB Ryan Tannehill.
Jennings spoke about the QB’s lack of progression in the NFL during a Tuesday appearance on ESPN’s “First Take.”
“I guess what I’m saying is he’s far [from elite],” Jennings said. “I’m being honest. None of us know. … It’s like he’s been handcuffed. I’ve played with Brett [Favre], I’ve played with Aaron [Rodgers]. I’ve played with great quarterbacks. So you can sense, you can quickly tell if one has it or not.”
“It’s been difficult for me to tell if he has it or not, because he hasn’t been given liberty. Simple checks at the line of scrimmage are not in his control. Until the end of the season when there was a coordinator change, he was not allowed to check out of a play.”
