Report: Cleveland Browns Have Finally Cut Johnny Manziel
Over a month ago, it was reported that the Cleveland Browns planned on cutting Johnny Manziel in March, once free agency opened and the salary cap increase allowed them to do so.
Finally, after waiting things out to see if they could find a last-second trade offer for the troubled quarterback, the Browns have waived Johnny Football, ridding themselves of the many issues he’s brought to the organization over the past two seasons.
Since being taken by the Browns with the 22nd overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft, Manziel has started in just eight games with the club, compiling a 2-6 record in those contests.
While he failed to make any sort of significant contribution to the Browns on the field, he certainly gave them all that they could handle, and them some, off of it. Since being drafted two years ago, Manziel has missed practices, been spotted partying and getting drunk during the season, spent a short stint in alcohol rehab, and is currently under investigation for a domestic violence incident involving his ex-girlfriend, Colleen Crowley.
So how’s Johnny taking his newfound unemployment? By clubbing every single night of this week, according to TMZ.
