Buddy Hield Nails Half-Court Game-Winning Shot Just Milliseconds After Buzzer, WVU Beats OU (Videos)
Wow! What a way to cap an exciting Friday filled with several tightly-contested conference tournament battles.
With a spot in the Big 12 Championship on the line, Oklahoma erased a 12-point, second quarter deficit against West Virginia, and they actually held a 67-64 lead with under two minutes remaining in the contest. But after making a few free-throws and a two-point field goal, the Mountaineers regained a two-point lead with under two seconds remaining.
That’s when Oklahoma senior Buddy Hield did this:

Crazy, right? Oklahoma wins 70-69?…
Not so fast. As it turns out, Hield’s release was actually about a millisecond too late:

The play was reviewed, and it was eventually determined that the buzzer had gone before the ball left Buddy Hield’s fingertip.
No basket. West Virginia beats Oklahoma, 69-67.
