Kobe Bryant’s All Star Jersey Sells for a Cool $100,000
I guess the jersey Kobe wore for his 18th and final All Star game has more sentimental and historic value than I realized, because the sweaty piece of clothing (maybe it’s been washed…maybe) sold for $100,040 at an auction, breaking the record for the most expensive jersey ever sold.
Yup. More expensive than anything Jordan wore. In fact, he wasn’t even second. Second on the list now is LeBron James who was holding down the top spot with the jersey he wore in his first game back with Cleveland.
In 25 minutes of playing time, Kobe managed to tally up 10 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds, which seems impressive until you remember that you don’t have to play against an opposing defense in the All Star game.
Still, a nice haul on behalf of the retiring legend.
