Arrest Warrant Issued For Adrien Broner For Assault And Robbery
Controversial WBA light welterweight champion Adrien Broner is a wanted man according to TMZ.
“According to the TMZ report, the incident occurred at 3:30 AM on January 21. The alleged victim told police that Broner became upset with him for walking away from a session of high stakes betting at the lanes that left Broner out thousands of dollars. Broner has been charged with felonious assault and aggravated robbery and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.”
Sources say … the man claims Broner waited for him outside of the alley and punched him in the face and neck — nearly knocking the man out cold.
According to court docs … Broner “then retrieved a handgun from his vehicle, approached the victim, demanded money, then struck [the victim] in the face with a closed fist a second time, this time causing the victim to be rendered unconscious.”
“Broner was then observed taking money out of the victim’s pockets while he was unconscious before fleeing the scene.”
Officials note that Broner is a pro boxer — and “professionally trained on how to cause serious physical harm to another person.”
We’re told the alleged victim was hospitalized — and needed stitches to close a gash on his chin.
