San Francisco Giants Hit Back-to-Back-to-Back Homers in Opener vs. Brewers (Video)

The first indication that this will be the San Francisco Giants’ year is the fact that it is an even-numbered year—because, for those who haven’t been paying attention, that means it’s the Giants’ turn to win the World Series, having already done so in 2010, 2012, and 2014.

As for the second indication that this will be the Giants’ season, look no further than their season opener on Monday, during which they showed off their potent lineup by beating the Brewers, 12-3.

That victory was highlighted by a five-run eighth inning that saw Denard Span, Joe Panik and Buster Posey go for back-to-back-to-back homers off Brewers reliever Ariel Pena.

Unfortunately for the Giants, Hunter Pence had to spoil the fun by following up Posey’s dinger with a lousy single,
