Ladies of Twitter Are Super Thirsty for Villanova Star Ryan Arcidiacono (Tweets)

Kris Jenkins got most of the attention from the media following Villanova’s thrilling victory over North Carolina on Monday night. And why wouldn’t he? The guy hit a championship-winning buzzer-beater.

That said, it was Jenkins’ teammate, Ryan Arcidiacono—the guy who decided to pass the ball to Jenkins instead of taking the last shot himself—who was named Most Outstanding Player of the 2016 Final Four. And it Ryan Arcidiacono who captured the attention of young female basketball fans on Twitter.

It’s not just that Arcidiacono is a team leader, or that he was named MOP of the Final Four. He’s also a good-looking kid who doesn’t come off as a douchebag. More importantly, Arcidiacono grew up in Langhorne, PA, just outside Philadelphia. He rooted for Villanova all his life. Then, after graduating from Neshaminy High School, he went to play for them. So he’s basically a hometown hero.
