The Masters Ceremonial Opening Tee Shot Was Awesome As Always (Video)
Fans of golf’s most fabled tournament were in for a bit of a letdown last month when they heard PGA legend Arnold Palmer didn’t have it in him to knock out the Masters’ ceremonial first drive. It was a big break from tradition, but I’m happy to say that things were just as great as they ever were on Thursday morning.
Palmer was seated comfortably behind the tee box and even received a round of applause after being introduced by chariman Billy Payne. Gary Player and Jack Nicklaus took on the driving duties. Nicklaus pulled his drive left, while Player laid it down the middle.
