More Footage of “Hit-And-Run” Before Will Smith Shooting Released (Video)
Late Saturday night, former New Orleans Saints defensive end Will Smith was shot and killed during a roadside argument with a man by the name of Cardell Hayes.
At the time, little was known about what led to this senseless act, but with each passing day we appear to be getting some answers.
The latest comes via video footage from three surveillance cameras in the area, which show Smith’s Mercedes SUV bump into the rear Hayes’ Hummer at the intersection of Magazine and St. Andrew in New Orleans, just a few blocks away from where the shooting took place. After being hit, Hayes appears to pull his Hummer over to the side of the road, while Smith is seen swerving into the opposite lane and fleeing the scene—at which point, Hayes decided to follow him and shoot him once they both pulled over moments later.
Did someone really lose their life over this seemingly harmless fender bender? It’s looking like that may in fact be the case.
