Redskins’ Twitter Response to the Rams’ Trade for First Overall was Perfect (Tweet)

RG3 Drafted

Back in 2012, when the team was still situated in St. Louis, the Rams traded away their second overall pick in the NFL Draft to the Washington Redskins in exchange for Washington’s first-round picks in 2012 (No.6 overall), 2013 (No.22 overall), and 2014 (No.2 overall), and a second-round pick in 2012 (No.39 overall).

With that second-overall pick, the Washington Redskins drafted Robert Griffin III—and we all know how that worked out.

Yesterday, the Rams (now in Los Angeles) were involved in a similar deal, but this time they were on the other end of things, acquiring the Tennessee Titans’ first overall pick in this year’s draft—along with their fourth and sixth rounders—in exchange for a first rounder (No. 15), two second rounders (Nos. 43 and 45), and a third rounder (No. 76) this year, along with a first and third rounder in 2017.

You think the Redskins took notice?

Here’s their Twitter response to the Rams’ blockbuster deal with the Titans:
