Kaman To DeAndre Jordan: “Learn To Shoot FT’s If You Don’t Want To Be Fouled”
You know what nobody on the East Coast wants to see in an NBA playoff game? The Hack-a-whoever strategy that will extend a West Coast game from a late night start to an early morning ending.
One other person who hates the strategy is Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan, who can’t shoot FT’s to save his life.
He showed that frustration last night:
Portland Trail Blazers center Chris Kaman has no sympathy for Jordan at all, and he let him know it with his comments after the game.
“I hope they don’t change the rule. If they do, that’ll be a joke,” Trail Blazers center Chris Kaman told reporters. “DeAndre just needs to work on his free throws.”
Clippers head coach Doc Rivers took no issue with the Hack-a-Jordan strategy:
“I mean, he should use it,” Rivers said. “There’s nothing wrong with it. It’s part of the rules still, never had a problem with guys doing it. We’ve been pretty successful when guys have done it. There have been a couple of times – like in San Antonio one game, probably two or three times where it actually affected us. But overall, it’s been pretty good for us.”
