Former WWE Superstar Chyna Found Dead at 45: WWE Universe Reacts on Twitter
Sad news from the world of professional wrestling as former WWE superstar Chyna was found dead in her home on Wednesday night. No word yet on the possible cause of death but authorities are investigating a possible drug overdose.
After not being heard from for a few days, one of Joanie “Chyna” Laurer’s friends went to check on her at her residence and found her unresponsive in her bedroom. A call to the police was made at 7:30pm PT. When police arrived, they searched the residence and found some prescription bottles, but no illegal drugs were present and there were no signs of foul play.
Chyna wrestled for over a decade in the WWE, TNA, and the New Japan Pro Wrestling circuits. She is the only woman to have ever won the WWE Intercontinental Championship, and she was also the first female to enter a WWE Royal Rumble. She had several defining victories against former WWE champions, including Triple H, Kurt Angle, and Chris Jericho.
The following message was posted on her Facebook:
Here’s how the WWE Universe responded to Chyna’s passing on Twitter:

It really makes me SICK that because of the disgraceful, idiotic politics in WWE, Chyna never got to see herself inducted into the WWE HOF.

Chyna was always an underrated part of the Attitude Era. It’s sad that she wasn’t already honored in the @WWE Hall of Fame. Fix that.
