Flyers’ Scott Laughton Stretchered Off Ice After Nasty Collision With the Boards (Video)
A frightening incident unfolded during Game 4 between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Washington Capitals, as the Flyers’ Scott Laughton was knocked off balance by Caps defenseman John Carlson and sent crashing hard into the boards.
Laughton remained motionless on the ice for several minutes while the Flyers’ training staff and medical personnel attended to him. He was eventually stretchered off the ice and taken to a hospital.

That did not look good at all. Unfortunately, these sorts of things happen in hockey, especially during playoff time, when the speed and intensity of every game is far greater than what we’re used to seeing during the regular season.
Thankfully, all tests on Laughton thus far have come back negative. He’s expected to stay at the hospital overnight for precautionary reasons.
