Daniel Cormier vs. Jon Jones Announced for UFC 200
Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz are out of UFC 200. Daniel Cormier and Jon “Bones” Jones are in.
That was the announcement made earlier today by Dana White on “Good Morning America,” as the company scrambles to put together a new main event for UFC 200 after giving Conor McGregor the boot due to his unwillingness to take part in promotional events.

Jones is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Ovince Saint Preux at UFC 197 this past weekend. That fight was originally scheduled to be between Jones and Cormier, but Cormier had to back out after sustaining a leg injury just a few weeks prior to their bout.
Now Cormier vs. Jones has been rescheduled for a night that is supposed to be one of the biggest in UFC history. And if the company was looking to replace McGregor vs. Diaz with a fight that could generate a similar amount of trash-talking, they may have found the perfect pair.
It has only been a few hours since the announcement was made and Cormier has already fired the first shot, posting the following message on his Instagram account:
“Yesssss! Let’s go. I’ve been wanting this. @ufc 100. I hadn’t decided to even fight yet. Now I’m defending my belt at biggest event in history. After what I saw last weekend. This will be light work. #bumjones #andstill @jonnybones you suck!”
Your move, Jon Jones.
