The tragic death of second year Ravens cornerback Tray Walker sent the entire NFL reeling. But obviously it hit the Ravens hardest. And, not surprisingly, Walker’s friends and teammates are still trying to come to terms with the loss.

How? Well, Ravens wide receiver Breshad Perriman has his way. He’s decided to honor his fallen teammate with a couple of pairs of customized cleats.

The second is by @kreativecustomkicks:

Whether or not Perriman wears his Tray Walker tribute cleats on the field next year remains to be seen.

On the one hand, the NFL has a very strict uniform policy that forbids personalized messages on equipment, and they were very keen on enforcing it in 2015.

On the other hand, one could see the NFL giving the Ravens a one-week exemption from the rules so that they can pay tribute to their late teammate.

The ball is in Roger Goodell‘s court.
