Cubs Cinco de Mayo Celebration Includes a Mariachi Band in their Clubhouse/Nightclub (Videos)
Yesterday was Cinco de Mayo, and, like all holidays, everybody celebrated Cinco de Mayo in their own way.
Some folks went out for authentic Mexican cuisine. Others just found a place that serves margaritas and got shitfaced.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump ate a big old taco salad and professed his love for “hispanics” on Facebook.
The Chicago Cubs? Well, thanks to hip baseball genius Joe Maddon, who is famous for keeping things light and breezy, they celebrated Cinco de Mayo with a live performance by a mariachi band in their fancy new clubhouse/nightclub.

According to Cubs super utility guy Ben Zobrist, who played for Maddon in Tampa Bay, this is nothing new. Joe Cool used to hire a mariachi band there, too.
I can’t believe I’m actually going to write this, but after more than one hundred years is it actually fun to be a Chicago Cub?
