There Was a Bryce Harper Doppelgänger Sitting Behind Home Plate at the Nats Game on Monday (Video)
There were two Bryce Harpers at the Nationals-Tigers game on Monday night. One of them was on the field, the other was in the stands behind home plate. Both of them probably told home plate umpire Brian Knight to go f#*% himself, but only one of them got thrown out of the game.
No, this was not the result of a tear in the space-time continuum. One of them was just a Bryce Harper Doppelgänger—replete with beard and flowing mane—who wore a Harper jersey, baseball pants, and eye black to the game.
Oh, and the doppelgänger brought his Bryce Harper bobblehead, too. For good luck? To get it autographed? We just don’t know.
Take a look:
Of course, as you may know, Bryce (the real one) has had kind of an up and down week. First the Cubs walked him six times in a single game. (Lose.) Then he got off the Nationals team bus to give some money to a homeless woman. (Win!) Then he got ejected for arguing balls and strikes and caught on video screaming “F-CK YOU!” at the umpire. (Lose.)
If I looked like Bryce Harper, I’m not sure I’d go out of my way to make myself look even more like him right now.
