Barry Bonds Pissed About “Racist” Video of Students at His Daughter’s Private School Singing Obscene Rap Lyrics (Video)
Barry Bonds is not happy about a supposedly racist video in which white students from his daughter’s $37,000/year prep school sing along to A$AP Ferg’s “Dump Dump.”
The video was published on YouTube by Brentwood Students Against Racism. In it, a bunch of teenagers are seen having a good old time singing “I f***ed your b*tch n****, she sucked by d*** n****” like it’s no big deal.
Take a look:
After seeing the video, Bonds took to Twitter and called on the school to suspend the students involved.

Officials added, “We are investigating this insensitive behavior, will address the situation directly, and will respond seriously.”
I’m not at all qualified to conclude whether or not privileged white kids singing along with an obscene rap song constitutes racism. It’s definitely problematic and insensitive. I would be furious if my kid was caught on video singing that song. But unlike Barry I’d be just as upset about the misogyny as the use of the n-word.
What I will say is that this problem is not going to go away as long as hip hop is the predominant form of pop music, and as long as songs like this exist. Teenagers are reckless hedonists. Always have been, always will be. No amount of social conditioning is going to change that.
Don’t get me wrong, these kids need to be taught a lesson. But from a broader systemic point of view, if we don’t want our idiot kids saying awful things, we need to make it so awful things aren’t “cool” anymore.
What do you think?
