Tom Brady Files Appeal For DeflateGate With Second Circuit Court
This morning it was announced that Tom Brady will appeal the four-game suspension he received for his role in Deflategate to the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. The appeal will be filed today, with an NFLPA player’s rep saying on Good Morning America, “The facts here are so drastic and so apparent that the court should rehear it.”
I guess that means this is something we’ll continue to be talking about 18 months after the footballs were actually deflated during a blowout AFC Championship Game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Here’s the best part: If 7 out of 13 judges don’t agree that Brady’s case should be reheard, his next appeal would be to no less than the Supreme Court, which probably has better things to do, I would think. But the NFLPA rep arguing Brady’s case has won 75% percent of the 62 cases he’s argued before the Supreme Court, so perhaps everyone’s prepared for that reality. Except us.
