Report: Raiders’ Aldon Smith To Appear In Court Friday For Violating Probation
Calm down Raiders fans. This is for a prior conviction. Back to your holding cells.
Oakland Raiders linebacker Aldon Smith, who is serving a calendar-year suspension for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy, will be arraigned on a violation of probation from a prior conviction Friday.
“Aldon Smith has two legal issues on his Friday agenda. The Raiders edge rusher will argue a motion to suppress evidence relating to misdemeanor charges of DUI with a prior conviction, hit and run and vandalism from an Aug. 2015 incident that prompted his release from the 49ers.
According to a Santa Clara County criminal case index, Smith will also be arraigned on a violation of probation from a prior conviction. It’s uncertain what incident the charge stems from.”
In 9 games last year, Smith had 28 tackles, and 3.5 sacks for the Oakland Raiders.
