Former Lions CB Stanley Wilson Shot While Naked & Intruding in Portland
Former Detroit Lions cornerback Stanley Wilson, who was drafted in 2005 out of Stanford and played for the Lions from 2005-2007, was involved in a bizarre situation that got him shot recently.
On Wednesday, Wilson attempted to break into a house in Portland, Oregon while naked and was ultimately shot by the home owner for his troubles. His injuries are described as “non-life-threatening injuries.”
“He was arrested and accused of first- and second-degree attempted burglary and first- and second-degree trespassing. More charges are expected, per KGW.com. Officers said they “do not know why Wilson was at the home or why he was naked.”
I’m going to go out on a limb and say he was probably under the influence of some type of drugs.
Wilson’s NFL career ended before the 2008 season when he suffered a torn Achilles. He appeared in only 32 games, starting in just 9 of them. Wilson is the son of former Cincinnati Bengals running back Stanley Wilson.
