Former Lions CB Stanley Wilson Shot While Naked & Intruding in Portland

Former Detroit Lions cornerback Stanley Wilson, who was drafted in 2005 out of Stanford and played for the Lions from 2005-2007, was involved in a bizarre situation that got him shot recently.

On Wednesday, Wilson attempted to break into a house in Portland, Oregon while naked and was ultimately shot by the home owner for his troubles. His injuries are described as “non-life-threatening injuries.”

“He was arrested and accused of first- and second-degree attempted burglary and first- and second-degree trespassing. More charges are expected, per Officers said they “do not know why Wilson was at the home or why he was naked.”

I’m going to go out on a limb and say he was probably under the influence of some type of drugs.

Wilson’s NFL career ended before the 2008 season when he suffered a torn Achilles. He appeared in only 32 games, starting in just 9 of them. Wilson is the son of former Cincinnati Bengals running back Stanley Wilson.
