Darren McFadden Says The Reports Of Him Breaking His Elbow Trying to Catch His Phone Were False
Earlier this month, it was reported that Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden would miss two months with a broken elbow he sustained over Memorial Day weekend.
It took only 24 hours for reports to state he sustained that injury attempting to save his cell phone from hitting the ground, because a running back making millions couldn’t afford another one apparently.
Now, almost two weeks later, McFadden is finally speaking out, stating the original story was not true at all.
From the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette:
McFadden … said reports he broke his elbow after he fell in an attempt to save a dropped cellphone were untrue. He said he was in a friend’s backyard after a funeral and slipped on cement near a swimming pool.
“I just slipped down and landed on my elbow,” he said. “My phone was in my hand, and so people kind of put that story out.”
“I got a few weeks left in this brace, but other than that, my body feels good,” McFadden said. “I feel great, and I’m looking forward to the season. I’m ready to go.”
Why did it take almost two weeks for McFadden to finally reveal what actually happened? Only he knows the answer to that question.
