Cowboys Rookie Ezekiel Elliott Has the Best-Selling Jersey in the NFL
The Cowboys reportedly bucked common sense a little bit and went with the flashy pick when they took Ezekiel Elliott as their first pick in the draft. It remains to be seen if the bold pick pays off on the field, but it seems to have been a terrific marketing move already.
Since April, which was when Elliott was drafted, he’s had the best-selling jersey in the whole league:

With that attention comes pressure, as the Cowboys will likely lean on Elliott hard out of the gate, the same way they did with DeMarco Murray two seasons ago. He’s expected to have a similar impact, but those expectations don’t mean a whole lot before we’ve even headed to summer camps.
