Pirates Fan Makes Great Leaping Catch on Foul Ball, Totally Shows Up Blue Jays Fan Who Made Sweet Diving Catch on Home Run (Video)
It had been a while since we saw a baseball fan make an awesome catch, but on Wednesday we got not one but two.
We’ll start in Toronto, where the Blue Jays were hosting the Padres. In the third inning, the Padres’ Adam Rosales cracked a homer off Jays pitcher R.A. Dickey, and a fan sitting in the front row in center field made a sweep diving catch to snag himself a souvenir.
Of course, he had to leap in front of three other fans to do it. But it looks like they were his family, so I’m sure it’s all good.
Take a look:
Now let’s head to Pittsburgh, where the Buccos were hosting the Mariners. In the bottom of the third, the Pirates’ Jung Ho Kang fouled a pitch from James Paxton into the stands down the first base line, and a fan leapt up to make a spectacular catch while falling backward over a railing.
It was a pretty dangerous play, but a beer guy standing nearby made sure to give a thumbs up indicating that the fan was okay.

Wednesday was a pretty great day for great fan catches.
